1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are used, for example, to remember your preferences or to know how many people visit each page. This policy complies with Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE and the Spanish Data Protection Agency's guide on the use of cookies.
2. How to give or withdraw your consent
The first time you visit portohome.es, a banner gives you three options: Accept all, Reject all or Customise (choose by category). Non-essential cookies are not set until you accept them.
You can change your mind at any time with the round button in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen or here: Cookie settings.
3. Cookies we use
| Cookie | Owner | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | PortoHome (CookieYes) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies | 1 year | Necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics (Google) | Distinguishes visitors anonymously for statistics | 2 years | Analytics (only if you accept) |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics (Google) | Stores the state of the visit for statistics | 2 years | Analytics (only if you accept) |
| NID and other Google cookies | Google Maps (Google) | Shows the map in the footer. They are only set if you click "Show the map" | Up to 6 months | Third-party |
Google Analytics works in Google's "consent mode": if you do not accept analytics cookies, no cookie is stored on your device and Google only receives basic signals without identifiers (for example, that a page was viewed), which it uses to estimate traffic.
When you pay for a booking you move to the Lodgify platform (checkout.lodgify.com), which uses its own cookies under its own policy. If you open links to Booking.com, Airbnb, Google Maps, WhatsApp or Instagram, those websites also apply their own policies.
The people who manage the website also use WordPress's technical cookies to log in; visitors do not receive them.
4. Cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. If you block necessary cookies, some parts of the website may not work properly.
5. More information
How the data obtained through cookies is processed is explained in our privacy policy. If you have any questions, write to contacto@portohome.es.
